APA at St. Mary Magdalen’s 2009 Fall Festival

October 2009
Atlantic Professional Audio was called upon to provide production for this year’s St. Mary Magdalen’s Fall Festival main stage for the third year in a row. The church’s festival is the largest in the Central Florida area, drawing a crowd of more than 5,000 people each year. There are carnival rides, vendors with a variety of foods, raffles and a main stage where various acts perform throughout the weekend. This year’s acts included singer/songwriters, local dance troops, and Latin-heritage songs by day. Friday night’s entertainment was the popular band The Dance Express and Saturday, the TransAms rocked the stage.
APA was delighted to provide the stage, lighting, audio and technicians, in conjunction with the church’s Technical Support Ministry, to run the entire weekend. We used our new Turbo Flex Array System with 6 xTFA-600DP and 4 x TSW-218DP for the main PA and our Soundcraft Si3 console on FOH mixing duty.
Thursday, only hours before the show, there was a problem with the house power. In a crunch, APA was able to pull in a generator and get it hooked up and running without anyone in the audience knowing the difference. As they say, the show must go on!
