Craig Beyrooti Does Sound Design for Spelling Bee

On October 14 through November 1, 2009 Riverside Theatre of Vero Beach put on another musical with sound design by Craig Beyrooti. The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a heart-filled comedy that takes everyone back to the excitements, joys, and also the perils of childhood. Every performance was a riot; the cast and crew enjoyed just as many laughs as the audience. Beyrooti has done plenty of sounds designs, first in South Africa where many of them either won or were nominated for Best Musical Production in the VITA Awards, the country’s highest accolade for theatre, then continuing on in the USA. Design credits include: The Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Return of The Forbidden Planet, Leader of the Pack, Crazy for You, Buddy – The Buddy Holly Story, Joseph and the Techni-colored Dreamcoat, La Cage aux Folles, Beehive, The Fantasticks, Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs, Fiela’s Child, Altar Boyz, A Sanders’ Family Christmas, Damn Yankees, a Grand Night for Singing, Beguiled Again, Showtune, and the world premiere of Midnight Clear.
