Montgomery Gentry – Week 2

February 13, 2010

February 13, 2010 was the second week of our 8-week run of concerts out at a local theme park. Since we already had one show under our belt from the previous week, we hit the ground running with a few twists and turns in our approach. For the entire two months, we are flying seven (7) “Turbosound Flex-Arrays” per side, with two (2) “Turbosound Aspects” as side fills. The shows are in the afternoon so a quick and efficient set-up is vital. This is why we called upon our long-time colleague, Chris of Classic Cases to build APA yet another custom case. This case is sturdy enough and engineered to hold six built, ready- to-fly speakers. Seven would have been ideal, obviously, but that height does not fit into a truck! Chris produced the cases with amazing speed, his turn-around time was an amazing 3-days and better yet, the boxes were built exactly to Craig Beyrooti’s and Mike Ramey’s design specifications. Needless to say, they did not disappoint.

Montgomery Gentry, a well established band, was the act for this show. We provided a large crew for the multiple risers, musical equipment, amps, and gear. Just like with the PA, thanks to proper planning and execution everything went smoothly for everyone involved. Another successful event!
