Hall & Oates

December 2008

APA / Engineered Events had the pleasure of supplying the production for a Hall and Oates concert in December of 2008. The concert was a Winter Season kick-off event for a local Resort located right outside of Orlando and Walt Disney World.

Darryl Phillips headed up the team that worked tirelessly to help make this event a smashing success. Darryl and his crew supplied the staging, the line array audio rig, the stage lighting, the power generators, and the necessary backline equipment. The band required a fairly large stage, 52’ wide x 40’ deep. The stage was trucked in and set up along with the audio and the lighting the day before the event. This gave our crew ample time the following morning to load-in and focus the lighting a head of the band’s arrival which was scheduled for 10:00AM to begin their set-up and sound check.

In addition to supplying the production, Engineered Events also flawlessly fulfilled the band’s rider including all local ground transportation. Michele Phillips and her team oversaw the three dressing rooms and the production office. Michele, in conjunction with the venue representative was instrumental in helping to create the band’s fastest and most efficient meet and greet.
